协方差-方差比模型

Ottle1997)提出协方差-方差比:

式中,T11T12相应于11μm12μm波段的分离窗亮度温度,而上横杠表示在选择的小区域上取平均值。

总的大气水蒸气也可从两个被动式微波波段的亮度温度计算:

   

式中,WV是微波水蒸气总量(gcm-2);B24B36分别相应于24GHz36GHz波段的微波亮度温度;而U是从高度计得到的表面风速。
