式中,E=inf(I,P)S是土壤含水层的状态;H是移动流体中的传送;I是潜在的筛选率;QG是地下径流;QS是地表径流;RS是无法下渗的水流;是土壤的水潜势;是饱和水汽压-温度关系式的斜率;是净辐射;是湿度计常数;是水的蒸发潜热;Smax是土层厚度;是土壤水潜势;K是土壤水传导率;是从水头到水压力的转换因子;是植被覆盖的平均高度
