A massive assemblage of MATERIAL, usually in the form of concrete blocks and/or cylinders, positioned alongside (a ROLLING_BLOCK) or above (a DROP_GATE) a LAND_TRANSPORTATION_ROUTE, ready to be activated as a potential BARRIER to an advancing enemy ground force; a transportation block.
