(1)  下面的方程系统地描述了碳动力学:

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

式中,是大气层中碳的数量;分别是表层和深层海水中碳的数量;是第陆地地区的每单位面积中活的植物和死的土壤微生物生物量中碳含量;分别是由于工业排放和人类对植被和土壤影响导致的流入大气层中的碳;是第陆地地区的大小;是陆地地区的数量。

 

(2)  海洋中的流动碳:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

式中,是海洋表层的碳局部压力;是深层海水中碳的生存期;是工业化时代以前各自的参数值。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

式中, 分别是每年平均温度和每年总降水量;是工业化时代以前各自的参数值。函数表示按照碳计算的每单位面积上植物每年的产量;是土壤中死亡有机物的特定分解率;系数是植物生物量的特定消亡率。
