二次熵多样性指数Q

 

式中, 是物种之间的差异的度量,   表示物种数量; 定义了某个个体属于物种 的概率; 表示了物种间的差异的期望值。

当每个物种的丰度完全一样时, 可以表示为:

 

式中, 表示物种间的平均分类学意义上的距离, 把生态多样性与生物多样性两者联系起来,但它不满足单调性要求;引入另一个测度 其计算公式可表达为 ,它表示了物种差异的和,而且满足单调性要求,比平均差异更适合作生物多样性的测度指数。
